1950s–1960s French Le Populaire Black Moleskin Paint-Splattered Work Trousers [34W]

Dating from the late 1950s to the 1960s, these French Le Populaire work trousers are made from heavyweight black cotton moleskin, beautifully softened and faded through decades of wear.

Layers of green, yellow, white and red paint splatter cover the surface, creating a unique finish and a visible record of their working life. Several of the original buttons have also been replaced over time, including characterful wooden replacements added by a previous owner.
